  • In yesterday's match at Wembley Stadium in London, England's Luke Shaw scored in the 2nd minute to give the team the lead. The Italian players, who were very good at smuggling and controlling the ball, were unable to break through the English defense and score. The same situation persisted until the break.

  • In the 67th minute, Leonardo Bonucci equalized with a 1-1 draw for Italy, who intensified their attack in the second half. Additional time was awarded as no further goals were scored. After both teams failed to score, a penalty shoot-out was held to determine the winner. With both teams given 5 chances each, Italy won 3-2 and kissed the Euro Cup bag for the 2nd time. The wait for the England team, which has been suffering from not being able to win the title of champion in any of the big series for 55 years, is still long.

Italy fans celebrate the victory of the team.

  • England have a 22% victory rate in the penalty shootout for major series such as the Euro / World Cup. The team has faced 9 penalty shootout challenges and has won only 2 matches. This is the lowest among European country teams.
